Dear colleagues!
I sincerely congratulate all of you on International Museums Day! Today is a double celebration! Finally, after a two-month quarantine, we returned to our museums, and starting from today we are ready to welcome our guests.
I am proud to say that we, the museum staff, have passed this challenge with great success.
The health of our visitors and staff is always of the utmost importance, that is why the temporary closing decision was a necessary step at the time. However, this isolation has widened our audience. High technology allowed us to stay home and continue our social life, activities, and communication with each other. As museum workers, we have helped people to spend their time productively. Both small and world-known museums have conquered the online world and become accessible to everyone. Our foremost mission is to entertain the audience and attract attention to our beautiful exhibits. As a good example, the expression Beauty Will Save The World becomes the leitmotif of modern museums. Our work during the isolation gave us a good experience.
Once again, I congratulate the museum community on their professional holiday and wish them good health and great success in this difficult and honorable activity. The doors of our museums are always open to our visitors!
